#1 Tip For a Stress-Free Holiday for Both You & Your Pet(s)

Actually this stress tip is for any time!
Stress is the #1 factor in creating disease in the body and when it is ongoing the immune system starts to break down. The key is how you handle stress in your life, because if the stress level gets out of hand, you not only can create havoc with your the house you live in (your body), but it can affect the animals around you! You may notice behavioral or physical changes in them, like quickly running the opposite direction when the negative energy is elevated to changes in their eating patterns, as examples. There's a lot of data out there and WebMD talks about how too much (a little is OK), stress can break down the immune system which has negative affects both physical and emotional well-being.
The #1 tip for creating your day is taking 5 minutes (or longer), to just sit comfortable with your feet on the floor and your hands palms face up or down on your legs, making sure your shoulders are relaxed, and close your eyes and take a couple of deep breaths! That's it! This daily practice will help lower your blood pressure, relax you, as well as keep you in the present state of being. You will also find that during your day, you will be more focused, positive and able to appertain to what ever daily situations call for your attention using positive emotions, instead of the dibilating negative thoughts, actions both verbally and mentally that can do the body - mind - and spirit harm. To continue: After you take a comfortable deep breath in and then release that breath, just imagine all of your worries, concerns of the day floating upwards to the sky and totally removed from you!
Taking 5 minutes a daily even twice a day and sit with your animal is a wonderful way to become grounded, relaxed and connect even more with your animal! You could say you're creating a "spa moment" with your best friend! No matter what type of pet you care for, whether dog, cat, gerbal, snake, bunny, or an exotic bird, they will feel your intention and want to be with you and the positive healing energy you are intentionally creating! Why? Because you're removing - all the anger, all the worries and feelings of gratitude for all the beautiful things and people in your life, as well as being kind to yourself and all other living beings, you will feel more connected with your true self!
