Drugs vs Natural Healing

There's a new drug FDA called (esketamine) by Spravato for depression . It has major side affects and only doctors can prescribe it. "The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today approved Spravato (esketamine) nasal spray, in conjunction with an oral antidepressant, for the treatment of depression in adults who have tried other antidepressant medicines but have not benefited from them (treatment-resistant depression). Because of the risk of serious adverse outcomes resulting from sedation and dissociation caused by Spravato administration, and the potential for abuse and misuse of the drug, it is only available through a restricted distribution system, under a Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS). Major depression is one of the most common mental disorders in the United States. For some individuals, major depression can result in severe impairments that interfere with or limit one’s ability to carry out major life activities. Studies from 2016 show an estimated 16.2 million adults in the United States had at least one major depressive episode. This number represented 6.7% of all U.S. adults." NIH

What caught my attention is the fact that this drug is administered through the nasal passage where of course we breathe in to gain fresh oxygen to the brain connecting to the neurons that send messages to the whole body! But take it one step further, with all the research out there about the benefit of Deep Breathing exercises, just for a couple of minutes a day provides unlimited benefits, including improving mood, thoughts and emotions.

Here are just a few advantages of deep breathing exercises:
